<p><h3>Overview</h3><p><b>NES Fircroft</b> is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse worldwide client base within the oil & gas industry.</p><p><b>Job Title:</b> Turnaround Instrumentation & Electrical Planner</p><p><b>Location:</b> Nanticoke, ON</p><p><b>Length:</b> 12 months (possible extension)</p><p><b>Rotation:</b> Mon–Fri (40 hours/week)</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Accountable for planning routine maintenance and turnaround jobs in assigned units.</li><li>Provide planning support for maintenance, turnaround, major projects, and capital projects when needed.</li><li>Develop work scopes, execution methods, and detailed schedules with accurate cost estimates.</li><li>Coordinate work execution priorities among maintenance, turnaround, and operations.</li><li>Communicate detailed work plans with contractors, frontline supervisors (FLS), and technicians.</li><li>Participate in turnaround reviews and manage follow-up actions.</li><li>Support execution teams by clarifying job requirements and making necessary plan adjustments.</li><li>Conduct field supervision to ensure safe, accurate execution of planned work.</li><li>Manage procurement of goods and services and liaise with contractors.</li><li>Maintain real-time awareness of job status in the field.</li><li>Adhere to OI requirements including OHSA, WHMIS, site standards, and planning protocols.</li><li>Lead contractor pre-job meetings and conduct safety inspections.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Journeyman Electrical or Instrumentation or dual ticketed</li><li>Strong background in refinery operations with a demonstrated interest and aptitude for maintenance work.</li><li>Proven leadership skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.</li><li>Minimum 6–10 years of experience in planning in instrumentation and electrical scope.</li><li>Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings, P&ID schematics, and technical documentation.</li><li>Proficient in SAP, Primavera, or Microsoft Project.</li><li>Familiarity with site management systems (LPS, OI, GRS) preferred.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.</li><li>Computer proficiency and ability to work within LAN environments.</li></ul><p>Apply here or send your resume to trevor.parlee@nesfircroft.com</p><p>With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
