A place where all staff are valued, can engage in meaningful work as part of a friendly, diverse team and use best-in-class technology to provide exceptional patient care.</p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>The successful candidate will join a collegial, dedicated team consisting of 5 general medical oncologists and 3 hematologists (1 benign and 2 benign/malignant). The Oncology Clinic Team includes a dedicated psychotherapist and palliative care physicians, in addition to oncology nurses, chemotherapy pharmacists, administrative assistants, social workers and dieticians. The successful candidate will also be responsible for inpatient Hematology consults, benign and malignant at both sites, on a rotating schedule with Hematology colleagues.</p><p>All Hematology inpatients at both hospital sites are admitted under the hospitalist inpatient care model with Hematologists providing only inpatient consultation services (not MRP). Along with other Department of Medicine subspecialists, Hematologists are required to round approximately one weekend every 8-12 weeks on a Medicine inpatient ward from 8am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
