Concrete & Rebar Draftsperson

we are recruiting for a Concrete & Rebar Draftsperson for our Winnipeg office location, to join our collaborative and team focused organization.

As our Concrete & Rebar Draftsperson, you will be responsible preparing accurate, clear, and complete working plans and detail drawings that facilitate the construction of concrete and rebar which meet the client's needs and the company's requirements in a timely manner.
Position Overview:
- Works with the sales team, Design Engineer and Project Planner to
prepare preliminary drawings for estimating
and presentation purposes. This may involve
modifying existing drawings or creating new drawings
. - Produce finished drawings based on input from the Design Engineer, Drawing Office Manager, and Project Manager.
- Prepares BOM
for rebar and verifies accuracy. - Develops drawings in
2D and 3D
, including general arrangements and setup of site plans & site layout drawings with appropriate survey benchmark information. - Makes revisions
to drawings as required during the
design and construction phase
of the project. - Follows FWS drawing standards and protocols when preparing drawings.
Qualifications Needed:
- Proficient in the use of
Revit. RebarCAD, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, & Navisworks experience is an asset. Experience in using UTM coordinate systems would also be an asset. - Has an aptitude for visualizing in 3 dimensional.
- Proficiency in
concrete/rebar layout and detailing - Willingness to take personal pride and responsibility of drawings to ensure that the highest levels of quality and accuracy.
- Knowledge of
building applications, construction and relevant building codes
is an asset. - Additional computer skills including
Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and 3D drafting
are an asset. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficient understanding of survey drawings & using coordinate systems in AutoCAD.
- Travel
to jobsites required occasionally.
