About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong experience in reviewing plans, performing takeoffs, and preparing accurate estimates for commercial construction projects. If you enjoy problem-solving, working with numbers, and helping win new work, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
- Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for bids and budgets.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits.
- Collaborate with project managers to transition estimates into active projects.
- Maintain costing databases and track historical pricing.
- Provide value-engineering recommendations where possible.
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a Construction Estimator.
- Ability to read architectural, structural, and civil drawings.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and material costs.
- Excellent math, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with budgeting or project management.
- Familiarity with local building codes and permitting.
