Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:


  • Act as the highest escalation point for fault identification, isolation, root cause analysis, and resolution related to IP and Access network technologies.
  • Conduct thorough performance and fault investigations that require advanced troubleshooting techniques, including situation analysis, test planning, and fault reproduction.
  • Configure, manage, and maintain IP and Access network elements and platforms to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Lead and support the change control process by performing impact assessments, reviewing methods of procedure, overseeing implementation, and validating outcomes.
  • Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive network design and operational documentation.
  • Design and implement automation solutions across Network Operations utilizing both proprietary and open-source tools to optimize workflows and reduce manual effort.
  • Create and review network tools and scripts; identify new automation opportunities through data-driven insights.
  • Facilitate the seamless integration of new technologies and services into the Enterprise Network Operations environment.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to address logical and physical network design issues and improve network performance.
  • Participate actively in an on-call rotation to provide timely support for critical network incidents.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and legal policies and regulations within the workplace.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Networking, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a Service Provider environment, preferably with exposure to Nokia (ALU) Service Router 7750SR, 7210-SaS platforms, TiMOS/SR OS, 5620 NSP/CPAM software.

    NRS-II+ certification is an asset.
  • Strong expertise in TCP/IP protocols and routing technologies including OSPF, ISIS, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, MPLS VPN, and Multicasting.
  • Hands-on experience with Nokia 7360 XGS-PON, 5520 AMS, or equivalent vendor OLT solutions.
  • Proficient understanding of network security principles, especially Security and DDoS mitigation systems.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and log parsing tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or similar platforms is highly desirable.
  • Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals including routers, switches, firewalls, subnetting, and network protocols.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with a methodical and detail-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and think creatively to develop unique solutions and improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills-both verbal and written-with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical issues.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to take ownership and drive resolution of complex network problems independently.
  • Willingness to work in an on-call environment as part of operational support.
  • Knowledge or certification in Lean Six Sigma is considered a plus.
