Role Overview
Ethoca, a Mastercard company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Fraud Insights team. This team serves clients such as Merchants, Financial Institutions, and Digital players to recognize and identify fraud patterns, providing data analytics, visualization, and marketplace capabilities using cloud-based UI, microservices, SaaS integrations, and more.
Responsibilities
- Design highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and performant cloud systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs.
- Ensure technical solutions comply with architecture and best practices.
- Deliver projects on time, aligned with business and security requirements.
- Evaluate emerging technologies via Proof of Concepts.
- Assist in project scoping, planning, and estimation.
- Stay updated with new front-end and server-side technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, or extensive experience.
- 5+ years in software development, 3+ years in microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in Java 17+, Spring Boot 3, relational and NoSQL databases, Angular.
- Knowledge of application security, data analytics, ETL, data modeling.
- Strong communication skills.
