Senior Project Manager

Job Description

<p>Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Hybrid Senior Project Manager for our client in Ottawa, ON.</p><p><br></p><p>Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>• Provide project management expertise for all project activities by working with stakeholders, project </p><p>team members and groups across the Client using proven project management best practices and </p><p>methodologies</p><p>• Oversee the project throughout all phases by ensuring resources are adequately utilized and the project </p><p>is completed and fully operational within previously agreed upon timelines, and performance </p><p>parameters</p><p>• Develop project plans and prioritize work to achieve project objectives, working with project resources </p><p>and ensuring collaboration with other teams, as required</p><p>• Oversee project risks, issues, and interdependencies while delivering defined scope and work plans </p><p>within defined quality and timeframes</p><p>• Prepare and present proposals, plans, charts, status reports and risk logs to assist in analyzing, </p><p>displaying and socializing progress, challenges, issues and problems by using a variety of project </p><p>management tools</p><p>• Assist team with change requests and risk mitigation plans</p><p>• Align success measures to track adoption and transformation progress</p><p>• Coordinate the input, support and communication with all functional areas that affect requirements </p><p>related to project scope, business value, risk,</p><p>• Develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with stakeholders and business partners </p><p>to ensure understanding of client needs and support effective resolution of client inquiries and concerns</p><p>• Collaborate proactively with other Client's teams to coordinate interdependencies and optimize flow for </p><p>delivery and operational teams</p><p>• Act as a central point of contact for all project resources and subject matter experts</p><p>• Facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning retrospective meetings and backlog management to provide </p><p>guidance to the delivery team to identify and prioritize deliverables</p><p>• Provide regular updates on progress and value delivery to senior management and/or the </p><p>sponsor/client</p><p>• Ensure all project deliverables are completed including all related documentations and processes</p><p>• Other activities and deliverable, as required</p><p> </p><p>Required Qualifications & Skills </p><p>The Consultant should have the following qualifications and skills:</p><p>• University degree or college diploma in information technology, project management, business </p><p>administration or a related field</p><p>• A minimum of ten (10) years of recent demonstrated experience in the field of IT infrastructure and</p><p>network security</p><p>• A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience as a Senior Project Management Specialist in </p><p>overseeing medium-to-large infrastructure modernization projects in a complex environment</p><p>• Strong demonstrated business acumen, including the ability to identify and communicate value and </p><p>translate business needs into project objectives</p><p>• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and </p><p>non-technical audiences</p><p>• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions and judgments, </p><p>especially in identifying and mitigating infrastructure risks</p><p>• Demonstrated experience leading multiple initiatives concurrently and effectively managing</p><p>interdependencies</p><p>• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve objectives</p><p><br></p><p>Additional Qualifications </p><p>The following will also be considered:</p><p>• Demonstrated experience managing infrastructure lifecycle programs, including hardware evergreening, </p><p>and integration of cloud-native technologies across hybrid environments</p><p>• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale network security projects, including firewall </p><p>architecture modernization, cloud-based segmentation, and Zero Trust implementations</p><p>• Demonstrated knowledge of the client's functions and core business processes</p><p>• PMP Certification</p><p>• SCRUM Master Certification</p><p> </p><p><br></p><p>Maplesoft Group prides itself on its distinct corporate culture and recognizes that success is a direct reflection of our most valuable asset - our people.
