<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join one of Canada’s largest retail corporations.</p><br><br><p>Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join one of Canada’s largest retail corporations.</p><p>Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst is as follows but not limited to:</p><ul><li>Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the monthly financial reporting and review process</li><li>Analyze and present the results of key businesses to internal stakeholders including the analysis of significant variances year over year or compared to budget/forecast</li><li>Exercise critical financial analysis to ensure the highest level of accuracy in the Company’s financial reporting and compliance with IFRS</li><li>Prepare supplementary information required by the external reporting team for the quarterly external reports</li><li>Work with other accounting and business teams to continuously improve processes and look for efficiencies</li><li>Provide guidance and coaching to other team members</li><li>Leverage AI/Automation to optimize the operations of the Tax function</li><li>Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team</li><li>Mentor and coach team members</li></ul><p>TMGNY</p><br><br><ul><li>Professional accounting designation</li><li>3+ years of relevant experience in industry or public accounting</li><li>Proven ability to successfully lead other team members</li><li>Solid financial and technical skills coupled with strong analytical ability with a natural curiosity to understand the reason behind transactions</li><li>Strong problem solving, analytical and strategic thinking skills; able to see the “big picture” in a complex business environment</li><li>Ability to work independently and in an ambiguous environment</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships</li></ul></p></p>
