<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Sales Director, Group Benefits (Southwest Ont) – Canada Life. Base + Comm. Lead a high performing team of Account Executives focused on growing our large group benefits business.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Work closely with your Account Executive on day-to-day concerns including handling escalated issues</li><li>Relationship management with business partners both internally and externally</li><li>Work collaboratively with the regional service counterparts to ensure customer needs are exceeded</li><li>Achieve business objectives and execute quarterly regional business plans as rolled out by the Regional Vice President</li><li>Provide leadership and coaching to your sales team to drive performance and achieve business objectives</li><li>Maintain and strengthen relationships with advisors and customers, to achieve annual sales, persistency, and other targets</li><li>Manage the sales process from request for proposal to finalist presentation to implementation</li><li>Work closely with advisors, customers, and client relationship staff to ensure customer satisfaction through our new business implementation process and ongoing account management</li><li>Promote additional products and services with advisors, customers, and regional service counterpart(s) to enhance client retention</li><li>Maintain small caseload of large or complex clients, as necessary, to support their unique sales needs</li><li>Collaborate with head office partners for various initiatives</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>5+ years of sales experience in the Group Insurance business - ideally small non refund</li><li>Post secondary education or equivalent work experience</li><li>Excellent relationship management and business development skills</li><li>Superior communication and presentation skills</li><li>Understand the business environment and advisor/customer needs to create competitive advantage</li><li>Strong understanding of the funding options available in the group benefits space</li><li>Create alignment on opportunities to drive sales results and ensure retention of clients</li><li>Work to ensure resources are deployed effectively to meet customer needs, and balance peaks and valleys in workload</li><li>Build partnerships to seek opportunity for cross selling with advisors and customers</li><li>Contribute to the development of new products and services by sharing ideas and concepts with Regional Vice President, Regional Service Leaders and head office</li><li>Foster an environment of innovation and is open to the perspectives and ideas of others</li><li>Highly effective sales skills and business knowledge are an intrinsic part of our culture and drive our success</li><li>Employs a balanced approach to success, including regular measurement against aggressive and multi-faceted KPI’s</li><li>Anticipate future consequences and trends accurately and recognizes and acts on strategic opportunities</li><li>Committed to personal development and improvement</li><li>Positively promote our Company’s Purpose & Vision by developing and maintaining relationships with industry related organizations, community leaders and community/volunteer organizations</li><li>Act as a change agent and adopt a client centric approach</li><li>Valid driver’s license and vehicle</li></ul><h3>Compensation and Benefits</h3><p>The base salary for this position is between <b>$97,200</b> – <b>$162,000</b> annually. This represents base salary only and does not include other variable compensation components of total compensation (e.g., annual bonus, commission).
