<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Join to apply for the <b>Manager, Finance, Canada Controller Group</b> role at <b>Canada Life</b>.</p><p>Permanent Full Time. Given the size and scope of our organization, the location can be Toronto, London or Winnipeg. We are looking for a Manager, Finance, Canada Controller Group.</p><p>Reporting to the AVP, Accounting & Controls, the Manager, Finance will work with the AVP in the areas of control oversight, technical accounting analysis, and financial statement close processes. This role has broad scope of reach, with the opportunity to work with accounting and business professionals across the Canadian division to lead or contribute to results in the following areas:</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Oversight over the Canadian internal controls over financial reporting (ICOFR) program</li><li>Research and analysis on accounting treatments in accordance with both current and emerging IFRS</li><li>Manage relevant quarterly financial reporting and close processes</li><li>Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance processes and controls</li><li>Participate in ad hoc financial projects, as required</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>CPA designation with a strong technical working knowledge of IFRS</li><li>5+ years of relevant finance experience</li><li>Highly motivated and proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Effective communication and strong relationship building skills</li><li>Well-developed organizational and time management skills</li><li>Ability to identify opportunities and execute plans of action to create efficiencies</li></ul><h3>Compensation and Benefits</h3><p>The base salary for this position is between <b>$84,900</b> - <b>$155,700</b> annually. This represents base salary only and does not include other variable compensation components of total rewards (e.g., annual bonus).
