<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Mallette SENCRL is the fourth largest accounting firm in Quebec, exclusively Quebec-owned, with over 1,650 professionals. The firm offers services in assurance, consulting, taxation, law, human resources, actuarial and bankruptcy trustee services. We seek a talented and energetic candidate to join our Saguenay Lac-Saint-Jean region office to lead a growing team of lawyers and paralegals focused on corporate, trust and transactional law. The successful candidate will report to a senior lawyer for the first 12 months, with a strong possibility of association at the end of this period. The organization emphasizes integrity, leadership, respect and mutual aid in its values.</p><h3>Job responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Develop, with various stakeholders, the regional legal department's annual strategic plan and budget.</li><li>Implement an action plan based on the strategic plan and mobilize the team around its objectives.</li><li>Report monthly to the Management Committee on the progress of the action plan.</li><li>Ensure service presence throughout the Saguenay Lac-Saint-Jean region.</li><li>Contribute to provincial committees in connection with provincial strategic planning.</li><li>Plan and distribute files weekly and manage emergencies related to risk management and workflows from the taxation and certification department.</li><li>Support the team in mandates to provide approximately 50% of yearly effort.</li><li>Collaborate with Human Resources on recruitment, annual appraisals, training and follow-up of personnel.</li><li>Monitor work in progress and invoicing.</li><li>Promote the department to associates, customers and other departments.</li><li>Analyze and propose advanced technological tools and innovative working and management methods.</li></ul><h3>Profile</h3><h3><b>Qualifications</b></h3><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in law (LL.B.), member of the Quebec Bar or the Chambre des notaires du Québec.</li><li>Seven to ten years of relevant corporate or commercial legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.</li><li>MBA, CFA, M.
