The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of <b>manufacturing-based estimating</b>, with a proven track record in <b>bidding, tendering, and cost analysis</b> for large-scale façade and architectural envelope projects.</p><p>This role is ideal for someone who thrives on precision, enjoys technical collaboration, and understands how to translate complex drawings, assemblies, and specifications into competitive, accurate bids.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Lead all estimating activities for architectural cladding, façade, and integrated solar system projects.</li><li>Prepare detailed cost estimates, takeoffs, and bid packages from architectural and structural drawings.</li><li>Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and fabrication teams to validate scope, materials, and production costs.</li><li>Oversee tender preparation, prequalification submissions, and bid presentations.</li><li>Manage subcontractor pricing, supplier quotes, and vendor relationships.</li><li>Identify cost-saving opportunities, value-engineering options, and potential risk factors.</li><li>Support the development of standardized estimating templates and procedures.</li><li>Participate in project handover meetings to ensure smooth transition to execution teams.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Minimum <b>10 years of progressive experience</b> in <b>estimating within cladding, façade, curtain wall, or integrated solar system manufacturing</b>.</li><li>Strong knowledge of <b>manufacturing processes, materials, and production costing</b>.</li><li>Proven success in <b>bidding and tendering</b> for mid-to-large-scale commercial and institutional projects.</li><li>Proficient in <b>Excel, AutoCAD, and estimating software</b> (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or equivalent).</li><li>Strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Preferred Background</b></p><ul><li>Experience working with <b>BIPV (Building-Integrated Photovoltaic)</b> systems or other <b>integrated solar envelope technologies</b>.</li><li>Familiarity with <b>metal cladding systems, curtain wall assemblies, or rainscreen systems</b>.</li><li>An engineering or Architectural Technologist background is an asset.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Compensation</b></p><p>A competitive compensation package is offered, commensurate with experience and performance, including salary, benefits, and potential hybrid flexibility.</p>Create Your Resume First
