We are seeking an experienced, adaptable, and consultative Principal Recruiter to oversee various searches across the company.</p><h3>The Difference You Will Make:</h3><p>As the Principal Recruiter, Americas Foundation you will lead global hiring efforts for our Operations teams, focused on expanding coverage across different specialty tiers, languages and regions based on where critical business needs are. You will be a strategic partner to operational leaders, driving the full-cycle recruiting process, developing market intelligence, and shaping our talent pipeline that will deliver world-class support experiences.</p><p>As the ideal candidate for this position, you should have a track record of leading senior-level searches across various functions. Additionally, you should possess a deep understanding of the Customer Support (CS) and/or Operations functions and have extensive experience hiring at scale, globally and dealing with executive-level contacts. You will serve as a strategic talent advisor to our hiring teams, providing guidance and expertise. It is crucial that you have a thorough understanding of our target markets and are well-informed about the talent pool, interview best practices, assessment criteria, and competitive landscape. Effective communication and influencing skills, as well as sound professional judgment, are essential for success in this role. This is a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, so we are seeking someone who thrives in ambiguity, is adaptable, and has a solutions-oriented mindset. This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of building something from the ground up and make a significant impact as Airbnb continues to grow.</p><h3>A Typical Day:</h3><ul><li>Attend weekly global meetings as the recruiting representative for any area of our Operations function undergoing scaled hiring, providing proactive insights and updates on hiring progress and challenges.</li><li>Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs, language requirements, and regional nuances for new market launches.</li><li>Send weekly hiring updates and funnel health reporting detailing candidate pipeline status, conversion rates, and any bottlenecks for hiring.</li><li>Proactively identify and address possible escalations in recruiting, partnering with your manager, Talent and business leaders to resolve potential issues before they impact delivery.</li><li>Conduct market research and mapping to identify top talent that aligns with Airbnb's current and future needs.</li><li>Develop and implement engagement strategies to build relationships with potential future leaders.</li><li>Lead end-to-end searches for senior positions across the relevant organizations, ensuring a seamless transition from conception to start date and beyond.</li><li>Create an exceptional candidate experience, leveraging a unique and creative approach with a focus on hospitality.</li><li>Establish yourself as an expert and market leader in your field, fostering strong relationships with top talent.</li><li>Maintain data integrity, proactively sharing data-centric updates with internal stakeholders to improve recruiting efficiency and influence hiring decisions.</li><li>Develop innovative sourcing and engagement strategies to support Airbnb's commitment to building talented and diverse teams.</li><li>Cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships with the broader recruiting team members and cross-functional internal teams such as Talent, Diversity & Belonging, Compensation, and Legal.</li><li>Communicate effectively with business partners and hiring managers, establishing clear timelines, milestones, and expected outcomes.</li></ul><h3>Your Expertise:</h3><ul><li>12+ years of recruiting experience, particularly recruiting for Customer Support and/or Operations teams is a must. Ideally, a mix of agency and in-house roles.</li><li>Extensive experience and passion for driving large-scale, multilingual hiring campaigns and leveraging data/analytics to showcase opportunities. Proven track record of building trust and credibility with senior leaders.</li><li>Strong consulting skills with demonstrated ability to successfully influence stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>Keen ability to interpret business challenges and recommend best practices based on historical as well as current insight and market trends.</li><li>Exceptional communication skills and professional judgment.</li><li>Ability to cut through complexity and deliver results, particularly under ever-changing circumstances.</li><li>Excitement to balance autonomous, proactive efforts with collaborative, team-minded workstreams.</li><li>Experience in solving complex hiring challenges independently.</li><li>Flexibility to partner with key peers, stakeholders and cross-functional team members located in different timezones in the Americas, EMEA and APAC.</li></ul><h3>Your Location:</h3><p>This position is US - Remote and Canada - Remote Eligible with a strong preference for talent based on the Eastern US/Canada Time Zone due to the global span covered by this role. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range shown below is annualized, is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.</p><p>Canada Pay Range: $132,000 - $165,000 CAD</p></p>
