<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Position</strong><strong>: Biomedical Technologist </strong></p><p><strong>Competition: 2025-373</strong></p><p><strong>Status</strong><strong>: Full-Time </strong></p><p><strong>Department</strong><strong>: Clinical Engineering </strong></p><p><strong>UNION: OPSEU </strong></p><p><strong>Salary: $36.84 to $50.24 per hour</strong></p><p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><p>Under the direction of the IMIT and Clinical Engineering Manager, the Biomedical Technologist will participate and contribute to the medical equipment management program of the department at the Brockville General Hospital. The technologist will repair, maintain and conduct preventive maintenance on various electro medical equipment and/or hemodialysis and water treatment systems to ensure safe and proper function for both patients and users. </p><p>Within this role the employee is accountable for contributing to the delivery of the BGH strategy. As an employee, one must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for actively promoting and supporting patient and family centered engagement and care in all we do.</p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><p><strong>Education and Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Completion of an accredited <span >Biomedical/Clinical</span> Engineering Technology diploma or <span >Biomedical/Clinical</span> Engineering degree preferred </li></ul><ul><li>Canadian Biomedical Engineering Certification is an asset </li><li>Experienced in the use of computers in a Windows environment such as spreadsheet applications and computerized databases.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills & Abilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Evidence of strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is essential.</li><li>Demonstrated technical intuition and highly developed problem-solving skills.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership skills.</li><li>Strong electronic troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Must have excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, courteously, and tactfully with colleagues, and clients.</li><li>Evidence of strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is essential.</li><li>Self-motivated, with ability to work under pressure in a clinical setting.</li><li>Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance on a regular basis.</li><li>Able to work with other healthcare partners</li><li>Demonstrated ability to attend work regularly</li></ul><p></p></p></p>Create Your Resume First
