Platform Engineer

About the Company Agilus’ client is a leader in the Insurance Industry in Canada and is currently adding to their team.

About the Role

In this role you will be joining a talented team of Platform Professionals and working with different teams within our clients’ organization.

Responsibilities

• Support with the design, build and maintenance of cloud-based platform infrastructure systems like Azure.
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards for code quality and thoughtful design.
• Good experience ins Access provisioning, Azure AD groups and Identity management.
• Manage all cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines.
• Setup CI/CD pipeline in On-Prem and Cloud platforms in Azure.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform/ARM Template/Bicep or Ansible.
• Experience working with Azure SDK
• Good Knowledge on Azure PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS offerings
• Good Knowledge on Azure Security
• Ability to troubleshoot Azure DNS, Azure Connectivity, NSG, routing.
• Self motivated with a positive attitude and an ability to work independently and in a team.
• Passionate about Generative AI and Machine learning.
• Participate in a 24/7 On-Call rotation to address and resolve technical escalations.

Qualifications

Degree in computer science or equivalent training preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in managing Azure platforms/infrastructure development and deployments.
• Degree in computer science or equivalent training preferred.
• Proficient in Azure technologies such as Data Lake Gen 2, Storage Accounts, Event Hub, Kubernetes, Pipelines, Databricks, Data Factory, Function App, and tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Azure Monitor.
• Knowledge in Splunk and Control M tools integration and support.
• Programming skills in Python
• Deep knowledge of Azure infrastructure, including subnet management and security, is an advantage.
• Interpersonal skills: team spirit, customer-oriented, idea sharing, affinity with architecture, active listening, non-violent communication.

Pay range and compensation package

Pay range $70-80/hr.
