Bilingual HR & Payroll Generalist
Location: Mississauga, ON
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Work Model: Hybrid (up to 5 remote days per month)
Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000 plus bonus and benefits
We are currently hiring for a Bilingual Human Resources & Payroll Generalist to join our client’s team in Mississauga.
This is a key role within a collaborative HR department, offering the opportunity to support a national workforce across multiple provinces.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in both payroll administration and HR practices, with the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
Payroll Administration (60%)
- Administer end-to-end payroll for employees in Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, and British Columbia
- Ensure full compliance with CRA, Revenu Québec, and all applicable provincial legislation
- Process salaried, hourly, and commission-based pay, RRSP contributions, year-end reporting (T4S, RL-1s), and ROEs
- Collaborate with the Finance team on journal entries, audits, and reconciliations
- Stay current with changes in payroll legislation and employment standards
Human Resources Support (40%)
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and employee relations
- Administer benefits and wellness programs
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial employment laws and health and safety regulations
- Support HR initiatives, performance programs, and serve as Co-Chair of the Health & Safety Committee
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS documentation in both English and French
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and French (verbal and written) – required
- PCP certification – mandatory
- Three to five years of payroll experience in a Canadian, multi-provincial environment
- Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now or Ceridian
- Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations, HR best practices, and employment standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
