We are seeking a clinically experienced perioperative RN to lead our surgical teams, advancing and progressing excellence in ambulatory surgical services. Position Summary
Reporting to the Regional Director of the Prairies and the Medical Director, the Nurse Manager provides hands-on leadership across the facility. This role guides nursing and allied health teams in delivering safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care while driving program growth, quality improvement, and resource efficiency.<br><br>
Key Responsibilities:<br>Leadership & Team Management:<ul><li>Lead and mentor teams in alignment with ORNAC, CSA and Non-Hospital Surgical Facility standards.</li><li>Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and clinical excellence.</li><li>Ensure high-quality patient care and continuous improvement initiatives.</li></ul>
Operational Excellence & Administrative Management:<ul><li>Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, patient-centered workflows, and fiscal responsibility.</li><li>Promote a supportive environment that values teamwork, communication, and service excellence.</li></ul>
Quality& Compliance:<ul><li>Collaborate with clinicians and interdisciplinary partners to maintain safe, efficient case flow and a positive patient experience.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement through ongoing review of clinical quality indicators such as patient satisfaction, first case on-time starts, turnover times and OR utilization.</li><li>Ensure readiness for Non Hospital Surgical Facilty accreditation and adherence to infection prevention and medication safety standards.</li></ul>
Human Resources & Staffing:<ul><li>Support recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation of team members.</li><li>Support staff compliance and prudent staffing/resource management while supporting continuous improvement, accountability, and patient-centered care.</li><li>Support performance management and career development through structured mentorship and education across perioperative disciplines.</li></ul>
Financial & Program Development:<ul><li>Contribute to facility growth and service expansion through responsible resource management and operational planning aligned with strategic goals.</li></ul>
<br>Qualifications:<ul><li>Must be a peri-operative Registered Nurse with active licensure that is in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan.</li><li>Minimum 5 years of perioperative nursing experience and progressive leadership experience in a clinical setting (e.g., Charge Nurse, Clinical Coordinator, or Practice Lead) preferred.</li><li>BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (or willingness to obtain).</li></ul>
