Applicants for this role can expect to work on-site from our Johnstown Distribution Centre (1 Giant Tiger Boulevard) 3-4 days a week. Hybrid work arrangement</li><li>Annual Profit-Sharing Program & Incentive Plan</li><li>Health / Dental / Vision Benefits as of day 1</li><li>Store Discount</li><li>LinkedIn Learning Subscription</li><li>Parental Top Up Program</li><li>Employee Tuition Reimbursement Program</li><li><b>Bursary Program for children of employees</b></li></ul><p>Onsite Perks: Free parking; Public Transit accessible; 24 / 7 access to onsite gym; full-service cafeteria</p><h3>What You'll Be Doing</h3><ul><li>Deliver on aspects of the people plan (labour, process and tools) as assigned by the Head of HR Business Partnerships.</li><li>Deliver, and maintain communication on HR systems, programs and processes that are in place to support functional areas HR needs and gaps.</li><li>Monitor and maintain compliance around HR policies / labour legislation and identify risks and actions to escalate to the Head of HR Business Partnerships as needed.</li><li>Provide feedback from client to COEs and HR Ops to ensure programs and guiding principles meet the needs of the functional group(s).</li><li>Manage and ensure there is coaching and counselling on employee relations and labour relations programs, policies and procedures that impact your functional group(s).</li><li>Build business relationships as a trusted and proactive HR Partner to drive employee engagement.</li><li>Develop HR specific content as the Subject Matter Expert.</li></ul><h3>What You'll Bring</h3><ul><li>University or college degree in business, HR or a related field; or equivalent experience</li><li>5+ years experience in an HR role, with relevant experience in investigations</li><li>5+ years of people management experience</li><li>Ability to inspire, motivate and develop team members at all levels</li><li>Ability to communicate / build relationships with various team stakeholders across functional departments</li><li>In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations</li><li>Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills</li><li>Strong verbal and written presentation skills</li><li>Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines</li><li>Effective impacting, critical thinking and influencing skills</li><li>Experience working with an HRIS platform - Workday is an asset</li><li>Acts with the highest professional standards of personal and professional integrity</li><li>Assets You May Have</li><li>HR designation such as CHRP or CHRL, either in progress or completed</li><li><b>Bilingualism English and French</b></li><li>Experience working in a warehouse, distribution centre, or production environment</li></ul><h3>Travel Requirements</h3><p>Occasional local travel required. The successful candidate will travel to our Moncton Hub and our Brantford Facility on a quarterly basis, and our Brockville facility once every two weeks.</p><p>Are you interested in this position but don’t meet 100% of the criteria?
