Summary
The Application Development Manager will own all major operational ERP, POS and eCommerce applications, systems and associated integrations, to ensure the solutions and platform strategy are aligned to Wellwise’s goals and technical needs.
Experienced in the retail space, the Application Development Manager will be responsible for creating and maintaining ERP and POS solutions tailored to internal users and teams.
This person will be a part of the leadership team. They will oversee and implement the technical guidance for internal teams as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance optimization are met for ERP, POS and eCommerce systems.
1. Own Intake, Requirements and Design Phases of Projects and/or Change Requests
Interact with leadership and internal stakeholders to understand needs and requirements, providing strategic and enterprise-level advice on the solution based on the applications abilities, integrations, data strategy and how it can help enable the company’s business objectives.
2. Design and Architect Solutions
Produce strong documentation to communicate technical solutions to the technical build team (i.e., ERP Consultant and IT Manager) and stakeholders to inform direction, validate approach, and align on build execution. Strong communication is required as presentations, design documents, requirements list, process flows, UML diagrams, ERD’s, integration mapping, mock-ups may be needed to ensure internal alignment.
3. Manage intake and change requests.
This person will support Build, QA, UAT and deployment phases of projects or change requests. The Application Development Manager will be both hands on, while being able to review and contribute to code ensuring adherence to requirements. Their main priority will be to ensure the technical solutions meet the solution design intended. This person will also support the implementation team during the development phase of the project while working and guiding internal development teams and external vendors.
Core Functions will also include:
· Owning platforms and support
· Manage service requests through the ticketing process
· Design, develop and integrate ERP and POS applications
· Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements alongside the consultants
· Ensure the performance, quality and responsiveness of ERP, POS and eCommerce applications
· Troubleshoot and resolve any software issues or bugs, always providing technical support
· Help develop a sold change management improvement process, initiating coding reviews, build reviews and audits on process
Requirements
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the implementation of POS and ERP systems and the maintenance of these systems within the retail environment
· University degree or College diploma in related field or technical discipline or equivalent experience
· Relevant CRM and ERP certifications (asset)
· Integration, Data or Middleware training or certifications
· Knowledge and experience in the retail industry
· Experience designed enterprise applications (CMS, ERP, CPQ, Portals SSO or eCommerce enterprise) within retail
· Experience defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, designing and prototyping and testing
· Experience full life-cycle implementations of CRM solutions
· An avid learner and stays up to speed with integration approaches between enterprise applications
· Experienced in change management fundamentals
· Ability to be onsite 4 days a week (office location Scarborough, ON)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
