<p>This is a full-time, one-year term position, working 75 hours biweekly.</p>
<p>At Tourism and Culture, we are a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to Yukon’s vibrant tourism, arts, museums, heritage, historic sites, and archival communities and to their contributions to Yukon’s quality of life.</p>
<p>Yukon Archives acquires, preserves, and provides access to the Yukon’s documentary heritage. Our collection of archival textual records, photographs, sound recordings, films, ephemera, and published materials offers a fascinating insight into the Yukon’s diverse cultures, history, stories, and communities. Yukon Archives is committed to upholding the objectives of The Steering Committee on Canada’s Archives\' Reconciliation Framework: The Response to the Report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Taskforce and is actively working towards making our facility and our records more accessible.</p>
<p>Reporting to the ADM, Strategic Initiatives, the Manager, Yukon Archives Programs manages the Yukon Archives public reference services, including outreach and public programming, conservation services, and the library. In this role, you will be a member of the Tourism and Culture management team, working with an exciting and diverse team of professionals.</p>

<h3>Essential Qualifications</h3>
<p>Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the following qualifications. Please note selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume. If you have these qualifications, ensure you clearly expand upon them (for each applicable employer) in your resume using the year/month format.</p>
<ul>
<li>Education in conservatorship or archives or public programming or library services;</li>
<li>Significant experience with conservatorship or archives or public programming or library services;</li>
<li>Significant supervisory and managerial experience in all areas of human resource management;</li>
<li>Significant experience with financial management within a government setting;</li>
<li>Experience with facility management would be considered an asset;</li>
<li>Experience working with Yukon First Nations or other Indigenous groups would be considered an asset.</li>
</ul>
<p>Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be equally considered.</p>

<p>Candidates should have and may be assessed on:</p>
<ul>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with a variety of partners, stakeholders and the general public</li>
<li>Understanding of the machinery of government and cabinet, policy processes, government mandates and priorities</li>
<li>Awareness of final and self-government agreements and truth and reconciliation</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy</li>
<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork and customer/client service</li>
<li>Awareness of Archives Act and related policies</li>
<li>Familiarity with building systems and conservation threats and risks</li>
</ul>
