<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>University Navigator – Office of the Registrar, Ayamdigut (Whitehorse) Campus. Full-Time position with a wage range of $37.90 - $45.13 hourly based on 75 hours bi-weekly. Employment Opportunity Number: 25.28. Closing Date: October 16, 2025.</p>
<p>The University Navigator is an exciting new role designed to help Yukon University implement its Strategic Enrolment Management Plan. The successful candidate will lead new initiatives and positively shape the admissions process with adaptability and resilience and a focus on continuous improvement. The role is suited to a dynamic, customer-service-oriented individual with a passion for education and helping students achieve their academic goals.</p>
<p>The incumbent will provide enrolment and general academic information to prospective Yukon University students. The role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to advise potential students on programs and courses, including admission requirements, application processes, potential employment and career options related to programs, general student financial aid and Yukon First Nation funding options, requirements for graduation, and opportunities for transfer to other post-secondary institutions. This breadth of knowledge supports collaboration with diverse stakeholders across academic and service areas of the institution.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Assist prospective students with the application process by engaging through phone, email, and in-person consultations to understand their educational needs and aspirations.</li>
<li>Provide detailed information on program offerings, admission requirements, and financial aid options; conduct thorough assessments of prospective students’ qualifications and ensure all necessary documentation is submitted.</li>
<li>Apply strong problem-solving skills to help current and prospective students navigate complex enquiries across program and service areas.</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely follow-ups and support throughout the enrolment process and maintain accurate records in the enrolment management system, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Recruit new students and promote the University through outreach events, workshops, and community engagement activities to attract potential students; contribute to projects related to the Strategic Enrolment Management Plan execution.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in education, communication, or a related field.</li>
<li>2+ years of experience in admissions, enrollment, or a customer-oriented role, preferably in the education sector.</li>
<li>Preference will be given to candidates with familiarity with financial aid processes and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding enrolment goals.</li>
<h3>Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies</h3>
<ul>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.</li>
<li>Ability to leverage technology for effective communication and engagement with prospective students.</li>
<li>Proficient in using CRM systems and other technology tools to manage enrolment processes.</li>
</ul>
