(“Acero”), a growing oil & gas facilities engineering company providing engineering, procurement and construction management expertise is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill one role as a <strong>Project Engineer (2 - 3 years of experience). </strong></p><p>Acero is focused on facility and pipeline engineering, procurement and construction management services; from concept evaluation to plant start-up. We are driven to provide our clients with exceptional service.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Creating and maintaining project schedules, engineering man-hour estimates, and cost estimates</li><li>Requesting vendor information, compiling and distributing RFQs, evaluating quotes, and recommending purchase awards</li><li>Assisting with the preparation and review of scope documents, reports, DBMs, PEPs, project kickoff documentation, RFQs, etc.</li><li>Assembling and/or directing the assembly of construction work packages with an awareness and attention to what should be contained in the binder</li><li>Understanding regulatory codes and the implication on Acero’s design (e.g. spacing)</li><li>Understanding and working with piping and various equipment specifications</li><li>Participate in HAZOPS, including dealing with preparation and close-outs</li><li>Understanding and participating in squad checks</li><li>Communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders (including clients, vendors, regulatory bodies, etc.) – e.g. notifying the appropriate stakeholders of all changes</li><li>Prioritizing workload and being able to juggle multiple tasks without falling short on quality or deadlines</li><li>Other <span >tasks/responsibilities,</span> as required</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Project Engineer with strong technical capabilities</li><li>Must have 2+ years’ experience at an EPCM working on projects related to Oil and Gas Facilities in Western Canada</li><li>Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with successful completion of ENCH 607 & 609 (or equivalent courses), and registered as a professional engineer in the province of Alberta</li><li>Understanding and working effectively with MS Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Powerpoint, Teams</li><li>Excellent team collaboration and interpersonal skills</li><li>Strong written, verbal, analytical and critical thinking skills</li><li>Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight timelines as occasionally demanded by our clients</li></ul></p></p>Create Your Resume First
