Job Title: Jr. Carpenter/Carpenter Helper

Salary: $22 to $25 per hour
About the Role:
We are seeking Jr. Carpenters/Carpenter Helpers on behalf of our clients in the construction industry in the Greater Toronto Area.
The ideal candidates will assist in various carpentry tasks, including building, installing, and repairing structures and frameworks, while maintaining high safety standards. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to grow their skills and experience in carpentry.
Key Responsibilities:
Carpentry Assistance:
- Assist carpenters in measuring, cutting, and assembling wood, plywood, and other materials.
- Support in the construction, installation, and repair of frameworks, structures, and fixtures.
Tool Handling:
- Safely operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment.
- Ensure all tools are cleaned and properly stored after use.
Material Preparation:
- Carry, organize, and prepare materials required for projects.
- Maintain an organized and stocked work area to support carpentry tasks.
Safety and Clean-Up:
- Follow workplace safety guidelines at all times.
- Assist with clean-up and disposal of debris from job sites.
Schedule:
- Day shifts.
- Monday to Friday with weekend availability as required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months experience in carpentry or construction for candidates inside Canada.
- 2+ years of experience for candidates outside Canada.
- English proficiency at CLB 5 or higher.
- Knowledge of basic carpentry techniques and tools.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Benefits:
- $22 to $25 per hour.
