Our commitment to excellence, customer satisfaction, and a strong performance-driven culture has made Wakefield a top-tier workplace and partner of choice nationwide.</p><h3>Position Overview</h3><p>The Sales Engineer is responsible for expanding Wakefield’s Castrol Industrial lubricants market presence through both direct customer engagement and collaboration with indirect sales channels. This role requires a deep understanding of industrial applications, technical solutions selling, and the ability to build strong relationships with customers, distributors, and internal teams.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow the Castrol Industrial business across designated territories and industry sectors.</li><li>Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities through direct sales efforts and by supporting channel partners.</li><li>Maintain and grow relationships with existing industrial customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.</li><li>Provide technical consultation and product recommendations to customers, matching Castrol solutions to specific operational needs.</li><li>Conduct site visits, product demonstrations, technical training, and troubleshooting support as required.</li><li>Work collaboratively with distribution partners to drive joint sales initiatives, support end-user engagement, and enhance channel capabilities.</li><li>Develop a strong understanding of customer operations, applications, and industry trends to proactively identify opportunities for Castrol products and services.</li><li>Manage the sales pipeline, reporting activities, opportunities, and forecasts through CRM and internal reporting tools.</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, technical services, and operations teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.</li><li>Represent Wakefield Canada and the Castrol brand at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).</li><li>3–5 years of technical sales experience, preferably within industrial lubricants, manufacturing, or related sectors.</li><li>Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and articulate industrial applications and lubrication solutions.</li><li>Proven ability to develop new business and manage a complex sales cycle.</li><li>Experience working with indirect sales channels (distributors, resellers, etc.) is a strong asset.</li><li>Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.</li><li>Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Ability to travel regularly within assigned territory.</li></ul><h3>Why Join Wakefield</h3><ul><li>Work with a recognized leader and trusted brand in the lubricant industry.</li><li>Competitive compensation, bonus, and benefits package.</li><li>Opportunities for professional growth and development.</li><li>Dynamic and collaborative company culture.</li></ul><h3>Seniority level</h3><ul><li>Mid-Senior level</li></ul><h3>Employment type</h3><ul><li>Full-time</li></ul><h3>Job function</h3><ul><li>Engineering and Sales</li></ul><h3>Industries</h3><ul><li>Automotive, Commercial and Service Industry Machinery Manufacturing, and Chemical Manufacturing</li></ul></p>
