Wood Mining & Minerals business is seeking an HSSE Advisor at our project site in Saskatchewan to work on a rotational basis (some nightshift may be required). Reporting to the Project HSSE Manager, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide HSSE support on a major project.

Typical responsibilities
- Ensure site compliance to regulatory requirements and Project procedural requirements with regards to the Fire Protection Program, Emergency Preparedness and Response Program, Security program and the Occupational Health and Safety Program.
- Assist in the development and administration of local project HSSE teams to create a positive safety culture
- Build a culture of personal accountability where safe behaviours are reinforced, and at-risk behaviours are challenged
- Ensure levels of security and emergency readiness are established, maintained, and tested across the project
- Provide assistance in ensuring all project participants are provided with the tools and knowledge to allow them to work within the safe operating envelope of legislation, procedures, and competence
- Actively lead a project field level HSSE Coaching and Mentoring program
- Communicate reporting expectations with Wood's contractors

Expected:
- Minimum of 10 years of HSSE progressively responsible experience with heavy construction industry (preferably in mining construction projects)
- Previous work experience on large Greenfield construction projects will be considered an asset
- Recognized certificates or training in Occupational Health, Investigation, Risk Management, Behavioral, and Legislation
- Excellent people skills with experience in application of field level coaching and engagement programs
- Familiarity and basic skills with: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Current authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
