<p><b>Job Summary:</b></p><p></p><p>Reporting into the Supervisor (Team Leader Air Side Team) the Driver is responsible for the correct load/off-load of the vehicles according to flight schedules, loading lists, health, safety and customer requirements.</p><p></p><p><b>Main Duties and Responsibilities:</b></p><p></p><p>1.Completes the gathering and fault free timely load / off-load of catering material, assuring complete load security, coordinating with all necessary departments and duty manager.</p><p></p><p>2. Completes the pre-trip truck checks, ensuring cleanliness and assumes responsibility for the driving of high-loader catering vehicle.</p><p></p><p>3. Loads and unloads aircraft in accordance with flight schedules, loading lists / labels and stowages in the correct galley positions and health and safety / customer requirements.</p><p></p><p>4. Liaises with the Transport Dispatcher in the case of injuries and accidents, absence of material, or any other irregular operations or block outs.</p><p></p><p>5. Uses in downtime accordance to the dispatcher (for example, laundry, storage, vehicle, Pick & Pack, etc.)</p><p></p><p>6. Compliance with the regulations (Materials / Security / Country / Safety / SQOR / Company Rules and Procedures).</p><p></p><p><b><u>Qualifications</u></b></p><p></p><p><b>Education/Technical Skills: </b>(Certification, Licenses and Registration)</p><p></p><p></p><ul><li>Minimum high school diploma is required, with specific accreditations in Math and English</li><li>Minimum Class 5 driver’s license is required CDL driver’s license a strong asset</li><li>Clean driving record</li><li>Purple RAIC a strong asset</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Work Experience:</b></p><p></p><p>• Good command of the English language, both written and verbal</p><p>• Previous experience in a similar role</p><p>• Experience of working in a fast-paced deadline driven environment</p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Job Requirements:</b></p><p></p><ul><li>Work 8 hours rotative shifts that will include weekdays, weekends and holidays</li><li>Work overtime when required</li><li>Arrive to work on-time</li><li>Pass a criminal background check and driver’s abstract</li><li>Complete paperwork</li><li>Communicate with supervisors and co-workers</li><li>Follow directions</li><li>Work as a member of a team</li><li>Must have a discipline free and excellent attendance record</li></ul><p></p><p><b><i>Job Knowledge and Skills:</i></b></p><ul><li>Excellent communicator (oral and written), who demonstrates sound judgment, tact, and works well in high-pressure situations.</li><li>Current Driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract</li><li>Must have skill and ability to understand and read spec.</li><li>Able to handle multi-tasks and adapt to change.</li><li>Self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.</li><li>Ability to work in an environment that encourages and fosters teamwork, participation, creativity, honesty and mutual respect.</li><li>Knowledge of safe lifting techniques, as regular and repetitive heavy lifting (approx. 50lbs) is required.</li><li>Ability to work shift work</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Environmental Requirements and Working Conditions: </b></p><ul><li>Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise</li><li>Majority of duties performed outside in a variety of weather conditions</li><li>Subject to cold temperatures (ranging from +10 degrees Celsius to at or below 0-degrees Celsius)</li><li>Subject to hot temperatures</li><li>Works with chemicals and industrial cleaning materials</li><li>Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds</li><li>This is a physically demanding position - Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours</li><li>Must be able to work at heights up to 20-25 feet</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Language / Communication Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Strong interpersonal skills, interact well with multiple departments as required</li><li>Able to work with little supervision</li><li>Excellent reading, writing, and oral communication skills</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Fluency in English. Other languages a plus.</li></ul><p></p>
