<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><br /><strong>Title: Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer, Senior Geotechnical Engineer<br />Location: Kitchener, Cambridge, Waterloo Area - IN-OFFICE & ON-SITE<br />Salary: $85,000 - $130,000 (experience dependent)<br />Reference #: 16710450<br><br>About:</strong><br />Our client is a growing multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm specialized in geo-structural and geotechnical design for excavation projects throughout Ontario. Offering design, monitoring, and project management services to clients, with their team of Engineers and Field Technicians. This is a privately-owned and stable company now looking to add an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to their team.<br><br><strong>Role & Responsibilities:</strong><ul><li>Design and review project details, inspection and investigation reports, geotechnical instrumentation and earthworks projects.</li><li>Collaborate with coworkers (design and field teams), to ensure project completion from start to finish</li><li>Work closely with involved stakeholders .</li><li>Project management of various ongoing and assigned plans.</li><li>Frequent travel to project sites (within Southwestern Ontario, GTA).</li><li>Ability to oversee borehole drilling, geotechnical assessments.</li><li>Help field team in monitoring and installation of monitoring instruments onsite.</li><li>Creation of investigational geotechnical reports, testing, and specialized foundational projects.</li><li>Conduct onsite activities, inspections.</li></ul><strong>The Ideal Candidate Has:</strong><ul><li>Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principals and practices. 5-10+ years of overall experience.</li><li>P.Eng designation in Ontario is mandatory.</li><li>Ability to communicate with various stakeholders (field staff, clients, approving municipalities).</li><li>Detail-oriented, thorough, organized, and methodical approach to tasks.</li><li>In-field, instrumentation experience, capability to use equipment for reporting and maintenance tasks.</li><li>Coachability, be open to working with the senior leadership team to improve your game, take advice and implement new strategies.</li><li>College or University education mandatory, Bachelors degree or Diploma mandatory.</li><li>Experience in projects related to shoring (temporary) design, deep excavations, heavy civil.</li><li>Must have a valid license and/or means of transportation to visit project sites.</li><li>AutoCAD, MS Office (Excel).</li><li>Please Note: this role may require work outside of traditional office hours, depending on project expectations.</li></ul><strong>Perks/Benefits:</strong><ul><li>Competitive compensation package and benefits (dental, extended healthcare, life insurance, vision)</li><li>Paid time-off/vacation.</li><li>Car <span >allowance/reimbursement.</span></li><li>Opportunity for long-term career advancement.</li><li>Ability to work beyond the desk, this is a great role for someone who likes variety in their day and likes to socialize with others outside of a traditional office environment.</li></ul><em>While we thank all applicants for their interest, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</em></p></p>
