GENERAL MANAGER

West End

The General Manager will be instrumental in evaluating our current operations and crafting a robust national go-to-market strategy aimed at delivering aggressive growth within the short to medium term. You will be focused on working with Utilities, municipalities and large organizations as an expert in Infrastructure Engineering.

Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical and Nuclear Experience will be a good fit for this role.

The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of the management of the division’s national operations. In alignment with the company’s overall goals, the incumbent will be equipped to succeed as a multifaceted Manager with a pulse to increase revenue and managing operations to support this.



General Manager Job Duties:

Developing revenue strategies and operational strategic plans and overseeing their implementation to ensure maximum capacity of the sales units towards achieving the group’s aggressive short-term strategy, growth and profit objectives.

Develop strategic plans to grow product lines, expand geographic points of presence and capitalize on financial opportunities; present assumptions; recommend objectives. Accomplishes objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.

Coordinates efforts by establishing procurement, production, marketing, field, and technical services policies and practices; coordinating actions with corporate staff.

Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees, enforcing ethical business practices.


Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

Enhance corporate image and reputation through attending appropriate industry functions, trade shows and conferences.

Establish and build network relationships and foster new business relationships.



Knowledge and Skill Required:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Electrical, from a recognized university



Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario (required)

MBA or advanced leadership training (an asset)

8 to 10 years managing P&Ls with sales and servicing of Industrial clients Nationally.
