About the Role

Our client is a fast-growing startup building infrastructure for telematics data within the transport industry. You will be joining as an early team member to shape the future of their platform. They’re seeking a Node.js engineer with advanced TypeScript expertise to drive the evolution of their integration framework and API ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

  • Enhance a scalable integration framework supporting multiple third-party systems
  • Architect and build new APIs/platform features that unlock customer value
  • Develop reusable TypeScript modules and tooling for testing, observability, and reliability
  • Optimize performance of high-volume data integrations
  • Collaborate on code reviews and system design decisions
  • Troubleshoot complex technical challenges in distributed systems

Core Requirements


  • 3+ years of backend development experience (Node.js focus)
  • Advanced TypeScript skills (generics, type systems, complex patterns)
  • 2+ years building on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, Event-Driven Architecture)
  • Experience designing integrations with undocumented/legacy systems
  • Strong distributed systems debugging skills

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with serverless frameworks (e.g., SST, AWS CDK)
  • Background in large-scale data pipelines (TB+ streaming/batch)
