While one of our business owners has overseen operations at a high level to date, we are now hiring a dedicated Director of Operations to help professionalize and scale our fulfillment engine and day-to-day operations. You'll serve a dual-role as both a strategic leader and a hands-on builder, with oversight across production, inventory, shipping, quality control, and team leadership.</p><p>We're looking for someone who embodies a balance between process optimization and people-first leadership, a systems thinker who can also build trust on the factory floor, communicate with empathy, and lead a high-performing team.</p><p>What Print Geek has to offer you:</p><ul><li>Competitive Salary $117,000 – $146,000 CAD</li><li>10% Performance-Based Bonus tied to KPI outcomes</li><li>Comprehensive Health and Dental Benefits</li><li>3 Weeks Paid Vacation</li><li>Growth-oriented, founder-led company with strong coaching culture</li><li>Onsite Free Parking</li><li>Quarterly team events and collaborative culture</li></ul><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><p>Build & Scale Operational Infrastructure</p><ul><li>Design and implement SOPs across production, fulfillment, inventory, shipping, and QC</li><li>Build KPI dashboards that drive visibility, accountability, and margin improvement</li><li>Lead key initiatives, including picking optimization, waste reduction, and staff productivity systems</li><li>Collaborate with IT and Finance to develop real-time reporting and forecasting tools with Odoo ERP</li></ul><p>Lead & Develop People</p><ul><li>Coach and support department heads across production, inventory, and shipping/logistics</li><li>Cultivate a high-performance, team-first culture rooted in trust, coaching, and clear communication</li><li>Champion employee engagement initiatives, including daily standups, feedback loops, and incentives</li><li>Support frontline teams with empathetic leadership that balances structure and autonomy</li></ul><p>Drive Continuous Improvement & Financial Results</p><ul><li>Sponsor and lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or EOS-based process improvement initiatives</li><li>Oversee labour planning and resource alignment for weekly production cycles</li><li>Optimize P&L performance through cost control, vendor management, and capital investment decisions</li><li>Create business cases for CapEx opportunities and own their execution</li></ul><p>What We're Looking For</p><ul><li>7+ years in operations leadership (manufacturing, or fulfillment)</li><li>Experience owning multi-department operations and cross-functional alignment</li><li>Strong background in production workflows, inventory systems, and ERP use (Odoo a bonus)</li><li>A coaching-oriented leadership style that inspires accountability and builds trust</li><li>High EQ and communication skills; relatable and clear with front-line teams and executives alike</li><li>Experience in high-growth or scaling environments with an entrepreneurial mindset</li><li>Proven experience in labour optimization, scheduling, and demand planning</li><li>Ability to blend tactical day-to-day execution with long-term strategic planning</li><li>Strong grasp of cost drivers, COGS, CapEx, and forecasting</li></ul><p>How We Define Success</p><p>KPIs Drive Decisions:</p><ul><li>Live dashboards and weekly reports are used to guide operations, from cost per unit to team efficiency</li></ul><p>Optimized Operations:</p><ul><li>Staff, systems, and workflows are aligned to meet and improve upon our 48-hour SLA (moving toward 24-hour)</li></ul><p>People & Processes in Harmony:</p><ul><li>Teams feel supported, engaged, and aligned with ops goals, while continuous improvement becomes cultural</li></ul><p>Hiring Process</p><ul><li>Application Review</li><li>Virtual Screening Call</li><li>In-Person Interview & Facility Walkthrough</li><li>Informal Social Interview</li><li>Offer within 1–3 Business Days</li></ul><p>Are You Ready to Shape the Future of Print Geek?</p><p>If you are a solutions-oriented leader who thrives in complexity and loves building systems from the ground up,<br>this is your opportunity Don't wait any further, apply today</p><p>Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter explaining why you believe you are the next Director of Operations at Print Geek.</p><p>Our Commitment to You?</p><p>Print Geek is committed to providing an environment that is inclusive and accessible.
