At Figment, we’re building and running staking infrastructure that powers dozens of the most innovative blockchain networks. We’re looking for a motivated Junior DevOps Engineer to join our Staking Team, where you’ll gain hands-on experience operating production systems while learning from a group of experienced engineers.</p><h3><b>How you will make an impact</b></h3><ul><li>Support the deployment and operation of staking tools to perform blockchain operations on multiple networks</li><li>Assist in troubleshooting production issues alongside senior engineers</li><li>Write scripts and tools (Python, TypeScript, or Go) to automate tasks and improve workflows</li><li>Help maintain AWS-based infrastructure and learn to manage Kubernetes clusters with Helm</li><li>Contribute to the monitoring and alerting of system health and performance</li><li>Participate in an on-call rotation (with mentorship and guidance) to support production systems</li></ul><h3><b>What you bring to the team</b></h3><ul><li>3 to 5 years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineer, or software engineering role</li><li>Some proven experience coding in Python, TypeScript, or Go (comfortable writing scripts or small tools)</li><li>Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, etc.) and interest in growing cloud expertise</li><li>Exposure to Kubernetes and Helm is a strong plus</li><li>Strong curiosity, eagerness to learn, and a collaborative attitude</li><li>Comfortable working in a remote, asynchronous team environment</li></ul><h3><b>Technologies we use</b></h3><h3><b>Teams you’ll collaborate with most often</b></h3><p>This role will collaborate most often with our DevOps Blockchain teams and Product teams.</p><h3><b>Why you might be excited about us</b></h3><p>At Figment, we offer an exciting range of <b>competitive benefits</b> designed to support and empower every member of our team:</p><ul><li><b>100% remote-first environment.</b> Our flagship office is in Toronto, Canada. Figment is committed to transparency regarding pay, benefits, and other compensation types for all internal roles as well as all roles being hired for.</p><p><b>Base Salary:</b>The CAD base salary range for this position is CAD<b>$120,000 - $140,000</b>. This range reflects base salary only, and does not include additional compensation or benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum range for a new hire across all Canada or the US. A candidate’s specific pay within the range will be determined by various factors including job-related skills, relevant education, and training.</p><p>At Figment, we try to go above and beyond in making sure that you have the best possible experience interviewing with us.
