Schedule:
Mondays 8:00am-5:30pm
Friday 8am-12:30pm
About the Role:
We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our team. In the role , you will be a key contributor and professional. You will identify the dental hygiene treatment plan according to individual patients needs, ensuring that patient oral health is the focus!The office is a blend of old and new creates a unique environment where patients can feel at ease, knowing they’re in a place that values both their comfort and their health.

Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of patient care that will ensure the best outcome for the patients.
• Use best practices for infection control including while processing instruments and treatment rooms
• Medical health history screening and updates
• Conduct baseline and routine assessments (including full mouth charting, probing, oral cancer screening)
• Radiographs and impressions (as prescribed by the Dentist), intra oral photos
• Identify conditions and oral disease such as: gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
• Dental Hygiene treatment planning including patient specific preventive dental care (scaling, prophy, fluoride etc. as required)
• Educate patients by providing oral hygiene instruction, plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions as required
• Maintain accurate documentation/charting
• Identify gaps in clinical schedule and assist with scheduling, such as: booking preventive recall appointments, following up with outstanding treatment plans
• Collaborate with colleagues during down-time in schedule (Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants Dentists and Administration)
• Attend continuing education events from time to time
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Dental Hygiene
• Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the CDHO
• Outstanding communication skills and attention to detail
• A friendly personality who works collaboratively with a team
