The team works on a variety of innovative platforms and develops its own automation that allows you to explore a variety of roles and technologies. We invest in new, cutting-edge technologies and leverage business intelligence and data analytics to develop innovative security solutions and capabilities. As a Security Consultant part of the Cybersecurity Enablement team, you will the technical expert responsible for the design, development, operations, project delivery, and assurance of cyber security and operations tools that are critical to TELUS security teams. As a security consultant this is your opportunity to drive the strategic transformation to the Cloud, Next Generation automation and operations, while enhancing security and reliability using AI. What you’ll do * Willingness to learn and become an expert in new technologies * Leading, inspiring and supporting team members to drive high performance and team engagement * Collaborating and fostering strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders * Providing support to our internal customers through the design and implementation of solutions. * Working closely with the ours and other teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered * Helping develop and drive automation opportunities * Continuously improving processes and a relentless pursuit of reliability and efficiency * Identify & enhance operational support tools & network monitoring solutions What you bring * 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, software development, or a related field * Proven track record as a quick learner who efficiently finds solutions using available resources and tools; adapts rapidly to new technologies and methodologies * Demonstrates excellent time management through meeting deadlines and balancing multiple priorities; thrives both independently and as a collaborative team member * Strong analytical mindset with ability to conduct thorough research and implement effective solutions to complex technical challenges * Hands-on experience with automation tools, particularly Ansible, for streamlining processes and infrastructure management * Proficient in both Python and JavaScript programming, with practical application in development projects * Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including best practices for secure coding and threat mitigation * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related degree Great-to-haves * Experience with LLM AI * Experience with Google Cloud * Experience with Splunk * Linux administration knowledge Salary Range: $66,000-$100,000 Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 10% Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
