As a Concessions Stand Worker at the Scotiabank Centre, you'll prepare and serve food and beverages, including alcohol, while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced event environment. Shifts Available: Morning | Afternoon | Evening
Pay Rate: $15.75 – $17.00 per hour (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve food and beverage items in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, in compliance with provincial laws and venue policies.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to accurately process customer orders and handle payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the concession stand and surrounding areas.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure efficient service throughout the event.
- Deliver excellent customer service in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations before, during, and after events.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum age of 18 (due to alcohol service requirements).
- Valid alcohol service certification (e.g., Serve Right or equivalent) or willingness to obtain prior to start.
- Previous experience in food service, concessions, or customer service is considered an asset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
