<p><h3>Overview</h3><p><b>Company, Department:</b> Nova Scotia Power, Business Transformation<br/><b>Location</b>: Halifax, NS<br/><b>Type of Employment:</b> Full-Time, Contract role for 12 months</p><p>Nova Scotia Power is seeking a Change Management Lead to join our ERP Program team on a contract basis as part of a broader Business Transformation initiative. Reporting to the Change Manager, this role will provide leadership in the design and delivery of change management strategies that keep employees informed, engaged, and prepared for change.</p><p>You’ll lead and oversee change activities on the ERP project, using structured methodologies and data-driven insights to maximize adoption, minimize resistance, and deliver lasting outcomes. Working closely with business leaders, project teams, and frontline employees, you’ll help ensure that change is thoughtfully planned, well-executed, and successfully sustained. You’ll also provide guidance and mentorship to other change practitioners, ensuring quality and alignment across deliverables.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Lead the development and execution of change management strategies and plans for assigned ERP workstreams, ensuring consistency with program-level strategies</li>
<li>Analyzing the people-side impacts of change (e.g., to roles, processes, systems, mindsets) and assessing organizational readiness to adopt changes</li>
<li>Providing guidance and oversight to Senior Specialists and other change resources, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables</li>
<li>Identifying, mapping, and engaging key stakeholders throughout the change lifecycle, monitoring stakeholder sentiment, building coalitions, and addressing resistance</li>
<li>Creating clear, timely, and targeted communications to raise awareness, build commitment, and ensure consistent messaging across all levels of the organization</li>
<li>Leading stakeholder engagement activities, including workshops, listening sessions, and readiness assessments, to surface risks and feedback</li>
<li>Coaching and equipping sponsors and leaders to fulfill their roles in leading change effectively, using structured sponsor roadmaps and engagement plans</li>
<li>Partnering with training teams to develop learning needs assessments, training plans, and delivery methods to build the capabilities required for adoption</li>
<li>Building and managing change agent networks or local champions to support grassroots engagement and feedback loops across business units</li>
<li>Defining adoption metrics and KPIs, and tracking and reporting on progress, issues, and results using dashboards, surveys, and stakeholder feedback</li>
<li>Identifying sources of resistance and implementing mitigation strategies; developing reinforcement mechanisms (recognition, feedback, integration into performance management) to sustain change</li>
<li>Collaborating with project managers to embed change management into project plans and timelines, ensuring alignment on scope, milestones, and roles</li>
<li>Creating sustainment plans and long-term support models to ensure successful handover to business owners and ongoing change adoption</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Change Management, HR, Communications, Business, Education, or Psychology).</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience leading change activities for large-scale organizational initiatives or projects, preferably ERP or technology transformations.</li>
<li>Prosci, CCMP, or similar recognized change management certification strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Familiarity with business process design and analysis is considered an asset.</li>
<li>Experience working in a project environment; PMP certification is an asset.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; ability to build trust quickly and work collaboratively.</li>
<li>Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide other change practitioners, ensuring consistency and alignment in approach.</li>
