<p><h3>About the role</h3><p>We’re looking for an Executive Assistant / Junior Underwriter to join our Specialty Lines (Marine) team at Coast Underwriters!</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Provide support to the Vice President & Senior Claims Leader, which includes managing and organizing their calendar, making travel arrangements, scheduling and attending, as required, meetings to record minutes, writing correspondence, etc.</li><li>Create PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, and Excel spreadsheets on results.</li><li>Analyze requests for quotes and policy changes.</li><li>Provide support to Underwriting staff by completing renewal notes and processing.</li><li>Receive claims and assign adjusters nationally.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>College diploma in administration or secretarial studies or equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>Minimum of 2 years underwriting experience, preferably in marine</li><li>Strong business acumen and professionalism</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)</li><li>Can handle multiple competing priorities and deadlines</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal</li><li>No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.</li></ul><h3>What we offer</h3><p>Our hybrid work model provides the balance between working from home and enjoying meaningful in-person interactions.</p><p>Working here means you'll be empowered to be and do your best every day.
