Job Description <p>Job Description<p>Job Title: Carpenter/JoineryJob Description<p>We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Joiner to apply expert carpentry skills in performing installation and building tasks with the utmost quality and efficiency. This role involves working with materials such as fiberglass, metal, and wood, and requires the ability to work with very tight tolerances. You will be responsible for installing prebuilt cabinets, working with high-end materials, and ensuring all projects adhere strictly to plans and specifications. </p><p>Responsibilities<ul><li>Apply expert carpentry skills to perform installation and building tasks. </li><li>Work with materials such as fiberglass, metal, and wood. </li><li>Ensure precise work with very tight tolerances (less than a millimeter). </li><li>Install prebuilt cabinets and work with high-end materials. </li><li>Communicate effectively regarding project scope, revisions, change orders, and schedule updates. </li><li>Take direction from the Carpentry Department Lead, Interior Manager, subcontractors, and clients. </li><li>Ensure department safety, cleanliness, security, and material protection. </li><li>Prepare clear and accurate drawings for the install team, collaborating with engineers and designers. </li><li>Proactively order necessary construction materials and inform management of specialty item requirements. </li><li>Represent company principles in conduct and work. </li><li>Ensure projects are completed to the highest standards, adhering to plans and specifications. </li><li>Maintain a positive, solution-oriented attitude and take initiative without constant supervision. </li> </ul><br />Essential Skills<ul><li>Proven experience as a Journeyman Carpenter, Cabinetmaker, High-end Installer, or Joiner. </li><li>Experience with high-end installations. </li><li>Ability to read schematics and drawings. </li><li>3-4th level apprentice or journeyman ideal. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and quality. </li><li>Experience in the marine industry is a plus. </li> </ul><br />Additional Skills & Qualifications<ul><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Proactive problem-solving ability and capability to work independently. </li><li>Commitment to safety and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. </li><li>Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. </li> </ul><br />Why Work Here? </p><p>Join our team for long-term work in one location with no fieldwork required. Alternatively, a PM shift is available from 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM with a $3.50 premium. The role involves working in tight or irregular spaces and requires reporting to the carpentry lead. Uniform and PPE are provided, but candidates must bring their own safety-toe work boots. Most tools are supplied, except for drills and drivers.
