Our client is looking to hire top talent for a Benefits Representative job opening in Toronto, ON (TTC accessible). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with some exposure to insurance / benefits processes and who is looking to get into a committed, permanent full-time role in a career opportunity. The right fit will be someone with a dynamic and outgoing personality, a calming, sensitive and professional approach, exceptional communication and employee relations skills and a key eye for detail. This position is currently working a compressed work week of Monday to Thursday, 8:30am - 5pm (typically Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm).


Some of the responsibilities for this Benefits Representative job opening in Toronto, ON may include but not be limited to;

  • Accepting and responding to a high volume of calls and emails with various questions, inquiries, concerns regarding employee benefits, claims etc (corporate call center)
  • Multitasking by documenting the calls while conversion with the employee in an office call-center type setting
  • Providing information and educating on coverage, adds/removals, claims, payments and more
  • Researching information to ensure accurate details are provided on either side; liaising between employee and insurance provider where required
  • Escalate any issues that are unable to be resolved on the initial interaction and ensure follow up
  • Ensure all verification documents, reports, etc are obtained and in the file; follow up where needed
  • Additional related tasks as required.


The requirements for the successful candidate applying for this Benefits Representative job opening in Toronto, ON may include but are not limited to;

  • At least 2 years of experience in group insurance or employee benefits related experience combined with additional call center experience
  • Excellent, patient and confident communication skills (both verbal and written)

  • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information
