**Job Title: Automotive Mechanic**
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our Vehicle Sustainment team. This role involves performing repairs, modifications, and retrofits on LAV vehicles. You will provide technical assistance to customers, liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve data and technical issues, prepare management and log reports, and perform various assembly tasks while maintaining safety standards.
Responsibilities
Conduct repairs, modifications, and retrofits on LAV vehicles.
Provide technical assistance to customers regarding repair procedures.
Liaise with internal and external customers for resolving data and technical issues.
Prepare input for various management and log reports.
Perform rework and other general assembly tasks.
Maintain safe work practices.
Monitor parts usage and report any material issues.
Essential Skills
Experience as a mechanic with skills in repair and retrofit.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficient in electrical and mechanical systems, specifically in automotive and truck repair.
Valid Driver''s License or equivalent.
1-2 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of armored vehicles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficient communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
Experience working with teams and customers. Ability to work in confined spaces and perform physical tasks such as lifting and climbing.
Meet anthropometrical size restrictions for confined spaces.
Truck, coach, automotive interprovincial certification, or military qualifications in Fire Control Systems, Electro-Optical Repair, or Heavy Equipment Technician.

Work Environment
Our work environment includes shifts from Monday to Friday, either 6 am to 2:30 pm or 2:30 pm to 11 pm. The shop environment requires various physical postures such as standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, and working in confined spaces. Tasks may involve working in a vertical space of 105 to 135 cm and under vehicles with vertical clearance of approximately 65 cm. You may need to climb on/off vehicles through roof hatches and various openings. This role requires maintaining static postures for extended periods while completing assembly tasks.

This is a Contract to permanent position based out of London, Ontario.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $41.00/hr.
