Friendly, collaborative</li><li>Selling Points of Position: successful candidate will be joining a new team that works closely together and will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a range of products.</li><li>Best Vs Average Candidate: investigative, keen</li><li>How will performance be measured: monthly 1:1s</li></ul><h3>Summary Of Day To Day Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Successful candidate will be joining the Compression and Derivative Support team (CMPIRD): a division of the Fixed Income Missile office (FIMO).</li><li>CMPIRD is responsible for Portfolio Compressions, Brokerage, and the monitoring of ad hoc life cycle events that could have downstream implications.</li><li>CPMIRD work very closely with other FIMO teams to support general life cycle maintenance post trade execution.</li></ul>
<h3>Position Summary:</h3><ul><li>Responsible for representing the CMPIRD mandate to internal and external stakeholders during Toronto business hours. In all instances it is expected that the individual will develop, promote and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.</li><li>Responsible for the daily execution of the following activities:</li><li>The effective management and reporting of Global CCP Portfolio Compressions.</li><li>Timely reconciliation and payment of Interest Rate Derivative Brokerage and Fees, while ensuring correct internal allocation.</li><li>Perform ad hoc bulk action tasks in a timely manner.</li><li>Posting of Corporate Action events</li><li>Perform ad hoc bulk action tasks in a timely manner.</li><li>Resolution of ah-hoc queries relating to Risk / P&L / Funding discrepancies.</li><li>Identify and resolve trade level cash breaks to manage funding implications.</li></ul>
<h3>Additional Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Actively manage various initiatives and ad hoc requests. Initiatives will vary from infrastructure improvements, changes in regulatory requirements, to supporting local business initiatives. The individual is expected to utilize their relationships to help drive these initiatives to completion.</li><li>Work in partnership with other FIMO teams to support any bulk action request and the general life cycle maintenance post trade execution.</li><li>Ensure both Functional and Regional Management are kept current and apprised of all relevant issues relating to TSG activities with proper escalation of issues in a timely manner.</li><li>Maintain a good understanding of financial markets, stay current on developing issues regarding the principles of pricing and risk management, and various products employed by the business.</li><li>Documenting and maintaining procedures to ensure they are inline and remain inline with any regulatory requirements.</li><li>Supporting various stakeholders globally with ad hoc reporting queries and data requests.</li></ul>
<h3>Must Have:</h3><ul><li>Middle office experience (P&L risk, trades)</li><li>Interest Rate Derivatives (IRS, cross currency, futures & options)</li><li>Excellent communication skills – speaking to traders</li><li>Advanced Excel (data manipulation)</li><li>Interest rates</li><li>Rate discrepancy</li></ul>
