Adecco is currently hiring a full-time detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Delta, BC. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.

  • Pay Rate: $ 25.00/hour
  • Location: Delta, BC (onsite)
  • Shift: Monday to Friday
  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time | 3-month contract with possibility of extension

Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable

  • Prepare, enter, and process invoices and credit notes.
  • Manage collections and resolve customer inquiries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate revenue invoicing and coding.
  • Maintain accounts receivable records.

Accounts Payable


  • Prepare, enter, and process payments.
  • Address and resolve vendor inquiries.
  • Ensure payments are accurately coded, approved, and processed on time.
  • Maintain accounts payable records.


Payroll

  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule.
  • Resolve payroll-related inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with current legislation, internal policies, and accounting standards.
  • Maintain payroll records.


Job Costing

  • Use job costing module to ensure accurate data integration from AR, AP, purchasing, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Prepare recovery invoices and reports.
  • Set up and manage job costing codes.

Month-end /Year-end Procedures


  • Reconcile accounts and remittances.
  • Create and enter journal vouchers.
  • Prepare month-end and year-end reports.
  • Complete assigned period-end responsibilities.


General

  • Assist in preparing various reports as directed.
  • Ensure accurate data transfer between systems and report issues as needed.
  • Support process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Experience with full-cycle accounting processes.
  • Proficiency in accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and job costing.
  • Strong understanding of month-end and year-end procedures.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and compliance standards.
  • Experience using JD Edwards (JDE) is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
