Job description We are seeking an individual to fulfill the role of Supervisor in our custom weld shop. We offer: Competitive Wages and RRSP Matching Excellent working hours Tool/Boot/Clothing Allowance Company Events/Lunches Superior Co-paid company Dental and Health Benefit Plan About the Position: As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for to plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities and operation of the manufacturing department. The incumbent will be responsible for development of the appropriate fabrication team (training/hiring), lead and coach the team to adequate completion of fabrication activities, assist in ensuring adequate development of quality standards, and work as a project manager as required. This role reports to the plant manager.

Hours of Work Day shift – Monday to Thursday. Weekends as required. What you will be doing: Responsible for further growth of our employees, including team building, equipment needs and training. Involved in hiring plant personnel.

Accountable for planning and executing multiple projects to meet deadlines and job requirements. Shall ensure all projects are executed professionally in all aspects. Maintain the required level of quality. Work and assist other employees in continuously improving safety and product quality.

Meeting customer expectations, specifications, and costs. Dealing with customers, suppliers, and internal departments. Leading / supervising / training a group of individuals. Assigning and tracking work and hours.

Assess the work and performance of team members. Coaching / mentoring of Junior, intermediate and senior individuals. Developing and maintaining project schedules. Managing documentation: Material Requisitions.

BOM’s. Transmittal of documents: customer and shop. Master ship lists. Paint specifications.

Cost extras. Etc. Issue drawings to the shop for fabrication in accordance with production schedule. Checking drawings and documents.

Follow, train, and enforce standard policies & procedures and assist in modifying and developing existing and new standards. Travelling as required. Perform other duties as required. What you bring to the Company: Strong background in welding processes and inspection.

Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office. Supervisory experience. Excellent communication, technical writing, and organization skills. Ability to work well with others and independently.

Proven time management skills and strong attention to detail. Works well under pressure. Extended hours may be required from time to time. Travel to other locations, suppliers, or contractors.
