Full Job Description
Part time: nights
Approximate shifts per pay period: Approximately 30hrs bi-weekly.To be reasonably available to work other shifts as required
KeyResponsibilities:
Monitor residents on second floor; assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting and dressing
Primarily provide care and services such as showers to independent residents on other floors; escort those who require assistance to dining room.
Bed making and other added services to independent floors
Report concerns to nurse on duty and Health & Wellness Manager
Document care provided; monitor residents for any changes in physical or mental well-being and report to nurse on duty
Able to write and communicate clearly in English
Participates in and contributes to the Verve Quality Improvement Program within the Home
Other duties as assigned and needed
Accountability Objective:
Ability to prioritize workload and finish all assigned tasks
Follows all the Evergreen Policies and Procedures
Must be flexible with change of assignment and routines if filling in for staff who are off sick
Complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act and Workplace Hazardous Material Information System
Background/Qualifications:
Experience working in LTC or a Retirement Home as a PSW
Must have CPR certificate

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Personal Support Workers: 1 year (preferred)
