The Career Foundation is currently seeking a Packer on behalf of one of our employer partners.

  • Work Schedule:  Afternoon shift is 40hrs/wk (Monday – Thursday; 4pm – 2 am)

  • Responsibilities:

  • Use hand and power tools to cut wood, drill and build crates for our switches and finished products
  • Use manual pump trucks, cranes (overhead / jib) and lift devices as required to move material and finished product(s)
  • Ensure that crates are built, and products are packaged in accordance with quality standards, and to ensure that our product will not be damaged during transport
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and follow organizational practices

  • Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • Experience working with hand and power tools, including nail and staple guns
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment (considered an asset)
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to climb ladders and work on platforms, as required while ensuring that all health and safety practices and policies are adhered to
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
