Purpose and objective of this position: 
 As Car Jockey Helper you contribute to the operational efficiency of the service department and to positive CSI results by ensuring proper vehicle traffic flow through the premises and promptly cleaning all service vehicles, contributing to an overall experience that exceeds expectations.
Main contacts: 
 Customers – Clean vehicles, greet customers and thank them for their visit
Service Advisor – Move, clean and fuel vehicles as required
Receptionist/Cashier – Deliver vehicles to reception for customer pick-up
Tower/Dispatcher – Obtain keys for vehicles
Service Manager – Assist with building maintenance/ lot duties
All Dealership Staff – Work as a team to ensure dealership’s overall objectives are met
Main responsibilities: 
 Represent the company with a high level of professionalism and courtesy. Follow company standards of personal presentation; and adhere to all Mercedes-Benz Canada and Daimler policies including compliance, and integrity standards. Comply with local, provincial and federal laws including those governing the rules of the road, and health and safetyMaintain knowledge and awareness of industry trends as well as any Mercedes-Benz Canada internal information as it relates to your role, department/location or the companyProvide customers with an unmatched ownership experience at all times; smile at each customer if you are within 10’ and verbally greet within 5’Insert protective floor mats and seat covers before moving vehiclesEnsure the cleanliness (wash and vacuum) of all service customer vehiclesAssist with delivering vehicles to the receptionist for pick-upUpon a guest’s departure, thank them for their visitSupport Service Advisors by moving and/or washing customer vehicles as neededAssist with organizing parking lot to maximize available parking spaces and to ensure that vehicles to be worked on are accessible for TechniciansRefuel vehicles when necessaryGeneral housekeeping of the shop including shop floors, garbage bins, cleaning equipment, etc.Assist with maintaining courtesy carsAttend meetings and training sessions as requiredOther duties as required by your local manager

Qualifications

Required Competencies: 
 High school diploma or equivalent experienceValid driver’s licence with a clean driving recordExceptional customer service skills with the desire to exceed expectationsStrong organizational skillsStrong sense of personal responsibility and reliabilityAbility to perform duties with a sense of urgencyAbility to effectively respond to and meet the needs of a diverse client base
