The good news?. YOU could be a part of it. The Details: Our small but efficient IT department seeks a proactive individual who can independently manage projects with minimal supervision around our WMS and EDI solutions.
This position involves a balanced mix of project management and hands-on tasks to ensure smooth operations. Our main goal is to constantly strive to implement the best software and processes to optimize our operations. To achieve this, we maintain a high level of agility and openness to suggestions, frequently bringing new ideas to life within a day.
Below are some of the responsibilities. Don’t be intimidated if you’re less comfortable with EDI, for example. If you’re a self-starter and quick learner, you’ll be able to ramp up quickly and manage this part of the operations effectively.
If this interests you, the position is based in Montreal, and you will report directly to the VP of IT/IS. Warehouse Management System (WMS) Responsibilities: • Expert for all WMS questions, issues, and bugs • Improve training documentation and provide training to new associates • Submit and manage all support cases related to the WMS • Manage all projects related to the WMS which includes: New functionalities Reporting Label Printers Scanners Data mapping • Understand and investigate any issues with the integration between the WMS and ERP • Types of records to have an excellent understanding: Sales Orders Item Fulfillment Purchase Orders Item Receipt Inventory Adjustments • Ability to investigate discrepancies with inventory by reviewing all activity for specific SKUs • Able to navigate through SQL database and create queries to pull data from SQL • Prepare documentation for future WMS implementation: Define specific operations needs and precise configuration requirements for the build phase Prepare user acceptance tests Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Responsibilities: • Manage all new EDI projects and complete testing for the following with our EDI provider: 850 (Purchase Order) 855 (PO Acknowledgment) 856 (ASN) 810 (Invoice) 812 (Credit Memos) Labelling • Document all specific requirements for the different trading partners • Submit and manage support cases with our two EDI providers • Assist Customer Service with any issues they may have with processing Purchase Orders • Correct and send any outbound transaction that may have failed during the transfer • Identify improvements with current integration that would reduce errors • Able to read raw EDI that we receive or send Not required, but would be a good asset What you bring: • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting aptitude and the ability to work independently • Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures • Knowledge of inventory management • Knowledge of order to cash and purchase to pay • Knowledge of slotting, racking, and warehouse layout design concepts and optimization • Experience with transportation and delivery management systems and processes • Self-learning ability Current Technologies in Use: • NetSuite – ERP • HighJump – WMS (Koerber) • TrueCommerce – EDI • SPS Commerce – EDI • Orderful – EDI • NuOrder – B2B • Shopify – B2C • Office 365
