As an organization, we have an intentional focus on growing and mentoring staff, serving clients with excellence, and leaving a beautiful and lasting impression on our city.</p><p><br><br></p><p>We Offer:</p><p>15 hours guaranteed per week balancing every 4-week period (terms apply) for full-time employees</p><p>Opportunities to grow and advance your career</p><p>Professional development and training</p><p>Excellent team environment with supportive management</p><p>RRSP program and HSA for permanent full-time employees</p><p><br /></p><p>Job Title:</p><p>Winter Equipment Operator</p><p><br /></p><p>Job Type:</p><p>Fixed-term contract (November 2025-April 2026)</p><p><br /></p><p>Pay Rate:</p><p>$28-$35 per hour<br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Main Purpose of Job:</p><p>Safely and efficiently manage an assigned snow route with the necessary equipment.</p><p><br /></p><p>Reports to:</p><p>Regional Winter Supervisor</p><p>Snow Division Manager<br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Safely operate one or more of the following equipment: tractor with plow, truck with plow, skid steer, loader</li><li>Responsible for all winter snow clearing and related activities as assigned by Managers and Supervisors</li><li>Responsible for completing assigned routs in and efficient and timely manner</li><li>Ensuring that Companys high safety and quality standards are followed</li><li>Responsible for timesheets and other required documentation to be done accurately and in a timely manner, using Company software applications such as LMN</li><li>Heavy lifting is a requirement and a key part of the job</li><li>Safe handling of gasoline, oils, diesel fuels, grease and other equipment related fluids etc.</li><li>Shop work, vehicle and equipment maintenance activities as assigned</li><li>Requires on-call availability 24-7, with 1 hour response time</li><li>Willingness to work in all types of weather and at irregular times</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Working Conditions:</p><ul><li>Employees will be asked to work in mild to very cold weather conditions. This may include icy roads and stormy skies</li><li>In all seasons, employees need to be prepared to be asked to work in rainy conditions and to bring appropriate gear such as rain jackets</li><li>Crew members can expect to occasionally be exposed to chemicals such as gasoline and lubricants</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Physical Requirements:</p><p>Strength Guidelines</p><ul><li>Can expect to be asked to lift up to 50 lbs.</li></ul><p>Motion Parameters</p><ul><li>Crew members can expect to be on their feet for long periods of time.
