Our client is a leading organization that is a specialized Canadian Manufacturer serving the Industrial, Power and OEM Markets. They provide customized fan-system solutions including heavy duty custom centrifugal fans and blowers to their customers.

Our client is actively seeking a Welding Supervisor to join their growing team.

This person is responsible for the managing, planning, scheduling, supervision and development of crew members.



Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work in a Team and individually with initiative
  • Ability to work safely and maintain a safe working environment
  • Maintain safety and environmental health within the facility
  • Demonstrate clear leadership and development of direct reports
  • Ensures all equipment is in good/safe operating condition
  • Provide technical training related to maintenance, process systems and safety standards
  • Leads employees in safety, productivity, efficiency, process improvement and quality
  • Supervise employees by providing training, safe working conditions, necessary tools and equipment to meet customer requirements within budget
  • Fosters continuous improvement and continuous improvement culture
  • Interpret blueprints and job-specific information including technical instruction, codes and standards
  • Fabricate and inspect sub-assemblies and assemblies based on work procedures and shop drawings


Qualifications:

  • Acquired a minimum of 5+ years of direct mild steel and stainless-steel welding and fabrication experience
  • Possess CWB Supervisor certification
  • Have solid mechanical abilities/aptitude
  • Have proven leadership/supervision/mentoring of others
  • Want to be the “go-to” person and mentor to a team of up-and-coming fabricating specialists
  • Achieve top quality results following oral and/or printed work instructions
  • Consider yourself to be an individual who effectively performs his/her duties in a safety-driven environment and promotes the same ideal of your teammates
  • Possess strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Are highly competent with both verbal and written English communication skills
  • Own your hand tools and a welding helmet
