Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will perform Mig and Tig welding, fitting and welding stainless steel enclosures of variable shapes and sizes. You will use robotic welders for various bushing welds, ensuring pressure-tested vessels are welded with no leaks. Your ability to interpret blueprints and shop drawings, as well as use metric and standard measurements, is essential. Maintaining a clean shop and following proper procedures when setting up and using welding equipment are also key responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform Mig and Tig welding
• Fit and weld stainless steel enclosures with variable shapes and sizes
• Use robotic welder for various bushing welds
• Weld pressure-tested vessels with no leaks
• Weld according to blueprints and shop drawings
• Use metric and standard measurements
• Maintain a clean shop
• Follow proper procedures when setting up and using welding equipment

Essential Skills

• 1.5+ years of Tig welding experience
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to interpret welding symbols and drawings/blueprints
• Experience with pressure vessels, stainless and mild steel
• Experience operating other welding equipment, including grinders, sand belt, ironworker, and band saw

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift experience is preferred
• Certification from the Certified Welding Bureau is preferred (expired or no ticket also acceptable)
• Experience with overhead crane operation is a plus

The pay range for this position is $28.00 – $30.00/hr.
