Job Description As a Warehouse Team Lead, you will ensure the smooth operations and efficient functioning of the warehouse. You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of warehouse staff, overseeing their day-to-day activities, and ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Your exceptional leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks will contribute to the overall success of the warehouse. This is a maternity leave coverage contract position. If required, the Company may increase the contract after one year duration based on the need of the role and business. Responsibilities * Supervise and coordinate the activities and assist warehouse staff, including off loading and loading trailers, sorting to correct destinations, load securement, dispatching line hauls * Plan and prioritize work assignments for the team to ensure optimal workflow and productivity. * Train and develop team members on proper warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and company policies. * Monitor and enforce compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) * Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfilment. * Oversee and ensure all time commitments are met * Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficient warehouse practices to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment. * Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the team and address performance concerns through coaching and mentoring. * Oversee daily driver operations, dispatching pickups and deliveries using “Tundra” and “OnTime”. * Act as the main point of contact for drivers, resolving issues with deliveries, pickups, and vehicle breakdowns. * Must be able to drive company vans and potentially larger trucks to cover routes during staff shortages. * Mechanical aptitude and strong knowledge of the city are highly beneficial. Required Skills * Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving goals. * Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. * Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in inventory management and data entry. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with team members and other departments. * Problem-solving skills to identify and address issues in warehouse operations and implement efficient solutions. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands. * Knowledge of health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. * Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, sort incoming loads, dispatching out going trailers, load securement * Operate forklift and other equipment to move materials within the warehouse. * Ability to work well under pressure and handle stressful situations with composure. * Able to work effectively independently under minimal supervision * Flexible schedule and willingness to work extra hours when required * Able to be on your feet long periods of time Required Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent, and experience in a warehouse environment. * Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a warehouse or logistics setting. * Familiarity with health and safety regulations and ability to enforce safety protocols. * Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions. * Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required during warehouse operations. * Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments. * Strong commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy in warehouse operations. Schedule: The shift starts from Sunday – Thursday As a Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our daily operations of all divisions of O.N.E. Transport Group. You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the team members, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
